Smiling

God smiles on the golden born
The golden child was born smiling
Born smiling, live smiling

The steel children learn to smile
They wear their smile to live
Live smiling, die smiling

Smiling children of gold and steel
The smile of the golden born is beautiful
The smile of the steel child is admirable
Golden children’s smiles are born
Steel children’s smiles are earned

The Glass

omnipoetry:

omni-poet:

They say look at glass half full
Ignoring the half that is empty
In reality, it doesn’t matter
As long as the thirst is quenched

Strength

omnipoetry:

omni-poet:

People tend to think that strength is the absence of weakness.
I like to think strength is the acceptance of weakness

If its weak to cry. If its weak to accept defeat. If its weak to show emotion.
Being strong would mean choosing the easy way out by hiding everything that makes us human.

The strong cry. The strong accept defeat. The strong show emotion.
It takes true strength to do things normally seen as weak.

Sharp, Bloody, Lovey Dovey

omnipoetry:

omni-poet:

I love knives, slice so nice
Cut and dice, pierce
Thrust, sharp device
Smooth edges, red edges
Sharp tips, drenched tips
They want to take you
What to do? I’ll hide you
Keep you close to my heart
Hide you from the dark
Red is the color of love
I see that you love me
Producing red, fruitfully
I’d blush bashfully
But there’s no red in me
You took it all selfishly
I gave it all lovingly
Stop nibbling my wrist
And give me one last kiss

Blood Money

omnipoetry:

omni-poet:

Land of the fee, home of the slave
Pledge allegiance to the devil’s legions
Of red, white, and blue demons
Fifty different forms of hell
Ruled by dead presidents
We live off their remnants
We need the dead so we can live
So we can’t live without the dead?
There’s blue collar and white collar
The dead is on the dollar
So there’s blood on the collar
Red, white, and blue. Red collar
Bred from blood, sweat, and tears
Fed on flaws, pain, and fears
The U.S. does not mean us

Win + Loss = Fate

omnipoetry:

omni-poet:

They say winners never quit
And quitters never win
What about the losers
Do they just give in
What about him
What about her, the loser
Can’t they be a winner
Or is that against the order
The preset success and failure

Triumph or defeat?
Some say we decide
But reality decides
As humans we abide
Opportunity, luck, skill
Are traits of the strong
Misery and weak will
Reside with the “wrong”
Fate smiles at some
And glares at others

The Greatest Weakness

Within weakness there is strength
Within strength there is weakness
Heel of Achilles, labours of Herakles

The greatest of heroes were flawed
The weakest of heroes were perfect
Arrogance of Narcissus, Pride of Samson

A child of gold breaks against iron
A man as rigid as steel breaks iron
The steel man defeats the golden child
David and Goliath, Athens and Sparta

Perfection creates a heroes flaws
Weakness forms a hero’s greatness
A hero’s greatest strength is his weakness
A hero’s greatest weakness is his strength

Mentality

omnipoetry:

omni-poet:

Optimism is a luxury
Pessimism is reality
Reality is a luxury
Optimists are pessimistic

Failure is a normality
Success is a rarity
Rarities are luxuries
Normalities create reality

Success is pessimistic
To an optimistic failure

Animals

omnipoetry:

omni-poet:

I see him, he sees me
He doesn’t see a person
I don’t see a human
I see a dog of the law
He sees a monkey in a suit
I measure my tail against his
Because he looks down at me
But then he barks at me, I flee…
